Overall Rationale: Playoff Prediction Mode engaged. The top four is my expected playoff field, in order. Next four are most the likely replacements (mostly in order). Beyond the top eight it's a more traditional poll.

1 Alabama Crimson Tide Presumptive SEC Champion
2 Wisconsin Badgers I think that they can beat OSU, win the B1G, and make the playoff. The resume is "meh", but beating Michigan and (to win the B1G) OSU should improve that.
3 Miami Hurricanes I think that they can beat Clemson, win the ACC, and make the playoff. Yes they've won close games. But they've also won ALL of them.
4 Oklahoma Sooners If they win the Big 12 they have to be in. The resume is solid.
5 Georgia Bulldogs If they beat Alabama to win the SEC they'd be in of course.
6 Clemson Tigers Beating Miami to win the ACC puts them in the tournament.
7 Ohio State Buckeyes Their problem would be the big loss to Iowa. And if they happen to kill Wisconsin, the Badgers' iffy resume could also drag down OSU. But I still think they get in if they win the B1G.
8 Auburn Tigers Win out and take the SEC and they have to be in. Their two losses are to Clemson and LSU. The former is a legit playoff contender. The latter is enjoying a surge in national standing. The one roadblock could be if Clemson also gets in, the committee could shy away from a potential rematch.
