ssnider23 Ballot for 2017 Week 8

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Oct. 15, 2017, 12:36 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Started up the computer poll this week so my results from last week will look a bit different, also there was chaos so this will be a bit messed up. In my computer poll that I ran without this week's data, the top 6 for last week would've been: Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, UCF, TCU, PSU, followed by a big gap.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Yup.
Georgia Bulldogs Computer gives the edge to Jawja over Penn State because of Georgia's wins being over better opponents. Their stats are also better.
Penn State Nittany Lions Expect a win vs. Michigan to put them over Georgia depending on the win, the margin between these two teams is slim.
TCU Horned Frogs Solid CFP team if they win out, the gap between 4 and 5 is very big.
Miami Hurricanes They just keep getting away with it.
Wisconsin Badgers I hate that the computer loves Wisky, I'd personally put them around 15ish since their schedule is weak. However, the difference between 0 losses and 1 loss is huge. If they drop one, expect a huge fall like Washington.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Loss vs. TCU keeps giving credibility, same reason for tOSU but they're just a bit better.
Ohio State Buckeyes Their loss to OU is looking better now, plus they've been dominant since then. I expect them to win out and make the CFP, as does the computer.
Clemson Tigers Win vs. Auburn is worse now, plus the loss is bad but it was on the road so they dropped 8 from the 1 spot, still remain one of the better 1 loss teams.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Best bye week in a while.
USC Trojans Wazzu's loss looks worse now, so they only go up marginally for their win vs. Utah.
UCF Knights 0 losses and a great offensive statline keeps them here, if they beat South Florida and get some chaos at the top, UCF could definitely make my CFP.
Oklahoma Sooners The loss at home vs. ISU is killing this team's index number, which is keeping them down here relative to the other blue bloods ahead of them.
NC State Wolfpack Keep sleeping on NC State and they'll kill you in your sleep. This ND fan sees you.
Virginia Tech Hokies The teams that picked this as their bye week are really benefitting.
Washington State Cougars The loss killed their ranking, but USC winning helped their index.
Michigan State Spartans Struggle win, but I fixed last week's mistake of putting them below Harbaugh U.
Washington Huskies Weak schedule plus a loss with only 7 points really kills your index. Who knew? I like UW, but this 11 rank freefall is fair. The computer has them even lower at 23, but I think they're still better than USF.
USF Bulls I really don't have much to say about USF. Computer likes them more than I do (They're 17 below VT)
Stanford Cardinal Definitely the best 2-loss team. Still have 2 losses though.
Auburn Tigers Clemson loss hurts a lot more now, plus losing to the team that lost to Troy tends to hurt your index.
Michigan Wolverines I really do hate Michigan, and the computer has them at 22. This is a fair ranking for Michigan.
West Virginia Mountaineers This team is so close to becoming a TCU-esque team. I want to see Dana put it together so bad.
LSU Tigers This feels so damn dirty but they earned it. Computer agrees as well, they're 24 on it.
Iowa State Cyclones
