Overall Rationale: Not exactly happy with the way this week's rankings turned out. The computer doesn't know what to do with all the chaos, particularly in the PAC-12. I tried tweaking it various ways without dispensing with the whole formula, but the results didn't really get any less weird. This model has been quite good at predicting games over the last year and a half, so I will stick with it for now and hope that it will correct itself (as it is designed to do) over the next few weeks. All that said, I don't think the results are THAT crazy for a predictive ranking. There are just a few odd things that bother me. Here's to hoping I'm not most controversial this week.
