nuxenolith Ballot for 2017 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 8, 2017, 11:53 a.m.

Overall Rationale: ON THE CUSP: Louisville, Texas, Navy

Rank Team Reason
Clemson Tigers Assuming Bryant comes back, the Tigers have shown enough to tell me they're a more complete team.
Alabama Crimson Tide Hurts cannot throw the ball.
Georgia Bulldogs Firmly at #3 until they can show more against common opponents than Bama
TCU Horned Frogs Better resume than others, but look beatable
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Even with a bad performance from a backup QB, still rolling
Washington Huskies Pac-12 opponents have gone 0-9 on the season.  HOLD
Washington State Cougars Defense is one of the biggest strengths of this team, surprisingly enough
Auburn Tigers SEC opponents so far are 1-7 on the season.  Blowing out creampuffs is fun, but they'll be tested in the weeks ahead.  HOLD
Penn State Nittany Lions They'll be tested with a gauntlet in the weeks ahead
Virginia Tech Hokies Other teams may rise up and take this spot, but no one else really has an argument right now
Oklahoma State Cowboys Wins (and loss) get a bump during the BYE.
Ohio State Buckeyes Offense is good, Oklahoma is not
Miami Hurricanes So much parity this year.  Miami is one of the weakest-looking #12 teams I've ever seen
USC Trojans Wins (and loss) get a boost.
Wisconsin Badgers Possibly the weakest Big Ten schedule I've ever seen.  It'll take Wisconsin winning a lot more convincingly for me to continue to vote them higher.
Oklahoma Sooners The upset and the fact that Baylor took them down to the wire are not good signs.  Defense is a complete and utter sieve.
San Diego State Aztecs
NC State Wolfpack
Michigan State Spartans GO GREEN
West Virginia Mountaineers Best 2-loss team in the country just looking for that signature win
UCF Knights
USF Bulls
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Michigan Wolverines Purdue is their best win lmao
Stanford Cardinal
