Nathanael-Greene Ballot for 2017 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 8, 2017, 10:31 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama struggled with Texas A&M, but because Clemson also struggled with Wake Forest Bama stays atop the poll.
Clemson Tigers Clemson may have struggled with Wake Forest, but they still won so they stick at #2.
Penn State Nittany Lions With the fall of Oklahoma, Penn State moves into the #3 slot in my poll.
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia's win over Vandy and Oklahoma falling out of the Top 4, Georgia moves into #4.
Washington Huskies Washington stays just outside the Top 4, but they are still the Pac-12's leading contender for the Playoff.
Wisconsin Badgers Another win for Wisconsin, another week in the Top 10.
TCU Horned Frogs TCU earned a strong win over an underrated West Virginia team, and advance to #7.
Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State beat up Maryland bad so they stay in the Top 10.
Washington State Cougars Washington State is off to a really hot start, and are threatening Washington for the Pac North and possibly the Playoffs.
Oklahoma Sooners Iowa State pulled off the upset, but Oklahoma is still very much a threat in the Big 12.
USC Trojans USC is still a contender for the Pac-12 Championship and the Playoffs.
Auburn Tigers Auburn is looking better and better with each week.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Oklahoma State is still a threat within the Big 12 at 4-1, but their chances for the Playoffs are now more Dark Horse than favorite.
NC State Wolfpack NC State is the 2nd-best team in the ACC Atlantic, and their game against Clemson is going to decide which of them represents the Atlantic in the ACC Championship Game.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame has come back strong after a bad season last year, and move into the Top 15.
Miami Hurricanes Miami has pulled together a 4-0 season, but I am still unsure of just how good this team is.
Michigan Wolverines Beaten by little brother is not a way to remain in the Top 10. Still, this Michigan team remains pretty good.
Virginia Tech Hokies The Hokies are still in the race for the ACC Coastal Title, and despite a big loss to Clemson are still a good team.
San Diego State Aztecs San Diego State is the first G5 Team to achieve bowl eligibility and are the leading candidate for the G5 Access Slot in the NY6 Bowls.
West Virginia Mountaineers West Virginia will probably be unranked by the AP, but I still hold that they are underrated and think they're strong enough to remain in the Top 20.
USF Bulls The Bulls are undefeated and are in 2nd-place for the G5 Access Slot and 1st place in the race for the American Championship.
Navy Midshipmen Navy is in the lead for the American West Division and also plan to vie for the G5 Access slot.
UCF Knights While the American Conference is not in the lead for the G5 Access slot, they should be happy that 3 of their members are/should be ranked.
Texas Tech Red Raiders Texas Tech was predicted by many to barely reach 4 wins this season, yet here they are 4 wins already at this stage and playing like a Dark Horse contender for the Big 12 Championship.
Texas A&M Aggies Texas A&M has done something no one this season has yet to do: Lose to Alabama by only 8 points and play them close. Texas A&M is currently the 3rd-Best team in the SEC West, which is something I didn't think I'd be saying at any point this year.
