Overall Rationale: The way I have designed this poll is that the Top 4 would be my playoff teams, and my #5 would be my replacement for Western Michigan if they weren't up to snuff. Yes, this means that Ohio State, which would ordinarily be at #2, is down to #6 in this poll. However (and I don't have a personal stake in this), I fully believe in both the value of Conference Championships and Head-To-Head Results. Both of those values favor Penn State over Ohio State. I have a feeling that Ohio State is going to pull a 2007 Kansas or a 2011 Alabama on us all, but I still disagree with the decision the actual committee made in placing Ohio State in the playoff instead of Penn State.
