swanky-k Ballot for 2016 Week 8

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 16, 2016, 11:35 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide This might be Saban's best team yet. If they get through aTm, it should be smooth sailing.
Ohio State Buckeyes I wasn't high on Ohio State pre-season but damn they look good. The hype train for Michigan-OSU is in full force.
Michigan Wolverines I'm just excited for the OSU game.
Washington Huskies Easily the best team in the Pac12. I would love to see the Huskies in the CFP.
Texas A&M Aggies Do they want Bama? Either way, this is quite possibly Sumlin's best team yet.
Clemson Tigers Hmmm.  I don't see them not winning the Atlantic at this point given the schedule ahead.  I think Clemson can still afford a loss and make the CFP.
Louisville Cardinals Clemson losing to State would have been huge for Louisville. As it is, there's still hope for the CFP, but they need an emphatic win over Houston.
Nebraska Cornhuskers They don't feel like the 8th best team in the country, but I'm not sold on anyone to jump them.
Baylor Bears Meh.
Tennessee Volunteers aTm and Bama are really good teams.  We'll see how Tennessee finishes out the season, they could get another crack at Alabama if things shake out right.
Wisconsin Badgers 2 strong performances against Michigan and Ohio State. The Badgers are for real, the west will be tight til the end.
West Virginia Mountaineers We don't yet know a ton about this team, but they've played good football so far.
Arkansas Razorbacks That Bama loss looks better after what the Tide did to Tennessee
Boise State Broncos The Wazzu win looks good, but the rest of the schedule is soffffft.
North Carolina Tar Heels The Georgia loss is killer.  If they had beaten UGA, you could chalk some of the VT loss to rain and the Heels would still have some CFP hopes. As it stands, they can still play spoiler and earn an Orange Bowl bid if things fall right.  The defense was good against Miami, the offense was good enough.
Utah Utes I'm excited for their matchup with Colorado, hopefully the Pac-12 South will depend on it.
Houston Cougars The Louisville game will be big. As it stands now, Houston needs help from Navy to even win the AAC.
Oklahoma Sooners Not sure what to think of OU. Early games are weird and the Big XII is weird.
Florida State Seminoles This team feels simultaneously quite good and absolutely mediocre at the same time.  They're scary but also just not that good.
Western Michigan Broncos Would love to see them in an NY6 bowl
Auburn Tigers Auburn is sneaky good.
LSU Tigers Da Coach O is gonna pull off a big win at some point this year.
Miami Hurricanes They're solid, just can't get the job done when it counts.
Navy Midshipmen They'll drop a game they shouldn't because AAC is CrayCray but for now, they deserve to be here.
Ole Miss Rebels 3-3 record but clearly a good football team.
