hokies220 Ballot for 2016 Week 8

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 16, 2016, 12:14 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Switching it up this week. By my estimation there are only 14 teams alive for the CFP. Those teams will earn the top spots until they drop off one by one. Wisconsin is the best 2 loss team and is deserving of a top 10 spot which is where I would still have them going by my earlier models.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Literally unbeatable.
Michigan Wolverines Better than the Buckeyes based on last two common opponents IMO.
Ohio State Buckeyes I don't see Urban letting this team make mistakes again.
Washington Huskies Should have an easy win @Reser before going to Utah.
Texas A&M Aggies I know it's not fair to make assumptions before the game has been played, but Bama is going to slaughter them.
Clemson Tigers Weakest of the top 6 IMO.
Nebraska Cornhuskers Still has to play @Wisconsin and @OSU. Yikes.
Louisville Cardinals Still likely better than 120 FBS teams.
West Virginia Mountaineers Didn't even know it was possible to hold the Red Raiders to 17 points.
Baylor Bears Crushed bye week for the second week in a row.
Boise State Broncos Really tried to lose last night. Tough game against BYU coming up.
Western Michigan Broncos Another week another solid win for WMU.
Florida Gators Blew out Mizzou, and should be in the driver's seat for the SEC East.
Utah Utes Win out and in, but the team is just too banged up to really be a threat of making the CFP. Could still win the division though.
Wisconsin Badgers Easily the best two loss team I think. I suppose there is a tiny chance they could  be considered alive for the playoffs still.
Arkansas Razorbacks Second best two loss team I think. Three tough games in a row, but could easily win all of them and finish 10-2.
Houston Cougars Outgunned Tulsa's offense. Should be 9-1 going into the last two games, but could lose them both.
Oklahoma Sooners The defense actually had a decent game finally. Still control their own destiny in the Big12.
Florida State Seminoles Wake's defense is better than people think, but this team still isn't what we thought they were.
Tennessee Volunteers Missing too many players to even be remotely competitive against Bama.
Colorado Buffaloes The loss on the road to Michigan is totally excusable. The loss on the road to USC is looking more excusable, could win their division still.
USF Bulls Won, but doesn't rise in the rankings.
Auburn Tigers Had a bye week to prep for Arkansas.
Memphis Tigers One of the more ignored one loss teams in the country. Could potentially lose out, or win out.
Washington State Cougars Gets the nod here over Navy and any team from the ACC Coastal. Because I think their a better team.
