Overall Rationale: The poll starts with a pre-season ranking that includes 5 year recruiting, returning offensive yardage, returning tackles, prior year S&P+, and prior year's strength of schedule. Then each week teams receive new points based on an adjusted margin of victory value (points limited to account for blowouts), the difference in the ranks between the two teams (all FCS teams have a set ranking greater than 128), and whether the team won or loss.The previous week's ranking is weighted at 75% and added to the most recent week's values, so there is recency bias involved, similar to how a voter will more heavily weight a November loss or bad performance than a September one.This is the first year using this so bear with me - I won't tweak it now that it's publicized (unless it's so bad I have to ditch it), but may overhaul it in the offseason.
