Overall Rationale: I use a modified version of a composite of various major computer and human polls (the Massey Composite), with preferential weights given to undefeated teams (with Alabama remaining #1 until they lose as past champion), head-to-head victors (if appropriate), and a "hot streak" factor (play well? get promoted slightly). Special note goes to NDSU, who will remain at #25 until they lose, and even then I may keep ranking them there as a nod to their status in FCS.Florida State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, and Florida are not ranked due to preferences for undefeated teams. Minnesota, Air Force, and Maryland are the only undefeated teams not ranked. Next week we will likely start having teams with a loss enter the bottom of the poll.
