fadingthought Ballot for 2016 Week 5

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 26, 2016, 7:06 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama is still the king. They should have an easy win when they play Kentucky next week.
Louisville Cardinals Easily won over Marshall, I saw no reason to move them from their number 2 spot. They travel to Clemson next week, so I anticipate this clog at the top to work itself out rather quickly.
Ohio State Buckeyes Not much to see as they were on a bye. They play Rutgers at home, so they will be on a bye next week as well.
Stanford Cardinal What a game! Stanford found a way to win versus an underrated UCLA team. I had them jumping because of this win.
Wisconsin Badgers Stanford and Wisconsin were neck and neck in this poll and if I did it on a different day, I may have flopped them. I wasn't too high on MSU last week and I think Wisconsin exposed them. I look forward to more B1G play to see how good Wisconsin really is.
Michigan Wolverines Michigan blew up Penn State. Not much to gain from that game, they look impressive on both sides of the ball. The Michigan vs Wisconsin matchup should tell us a lot about both teams.
Clemson Tigers Yes Clemson won and they dropped. Right now the other teams just look better and have played better. Clemson could only make up so much ground playing Georgia Tech
Houston Cougars Houston is seeing why the G5 teams have an issue. They just are not playing good enough teams to hold onto it. The Louisville game at the end of the season will define their season.
Texas A&M Aggies
Tennessee Volunteers Finally got that Florida bug off their back. Tennessee has a rough road ahead. They could run the table vs the east but they play TAMU and Alabama in the West. If they lose both of those games they could lose the East to Florida.
Washington Huskies Washington still hasn't impressed me too much. They have that chance when they play Stanford.
Miami Hurricanes Coming off a bye not much has changed except loses in front. Georgia Tech is next week and will tell us a little bit about the U.
Baylor Bears Baylor keeps winning despite all the scandals. They are possibly the best Big XII team but I'm still not sold on them
Florida State Seminoles That Louisville game still stings and no amount of South Florida teams will make it sting any less.
Michigan State Spartans Yikes! Was it an off day or are MSU just not all they are cracked up to be? Playing Indiana shouldn't tell us too much, but it is a start.
Nebraska Cornhuskers Keep winning Cornhuskers and you can shut Kirk right up!
Utah Utes Utah beating USC sounded a lot more impressive a few weeks ago. Cal should be a decent thermometer for the Utes.
Arkansas Razorbacks The Arkansas hype train is falling off the rails after that whooping from TAMU. It will be a while before we see the Razorbacks in a meaningful game.
West Virginia Mountaineers Don't worry guys, I remember you. Keep winning and they will have to remember you.
Arizona State Sun Devils 4-0 with wins over Cal and TTU. ASU has looked pretty solid
San Diego State Aztecs Bye weeks are best weeks.
Florida Gators Florida was my pick to win the East, they still might have the best road to it.
Colorado Buffaloes If only they had better special teams, eh? But that was a really good win over Oregon.
TCU Horned Frogs TCU hosts Oklahoma and has the chance to send OU to a 1-3 start and cement their position in the Big XII
Boise State Broncos Blue field is a good place for #25
