Overall Rationale: This is a computer poll that is 'seeded' by the preseason AP Poll and calculates from there. The AP Poll counts as if it were established by playing three games, so at this moment it counts for about half (although that's not really how it works).The primary means of calculation is by comparison: we can learn the most reliable information by comparing how a team does to its' opponents' other opponents. For example, Alabama defeated USC 52-6. They've received very high scores for this game because USC has not been dominated like that in its other games.
